Hello.
Welcome to Native foods.

We are in a world filled with processed foods because everyone is busy and we all seem to be in a hurry hence the need to consume ‘fast’ foods.

The question on my mind has always been ” why do our fathers who never had the luxury of eating fast foods live longer than the present generation?

Well, we might say they never had enough exposure and money to eat those kinds of foods. Yet, those foods are heathier and nutrients packed than what most people eat right now.
They actually made food their medicine and medicine their food!

The importance of consuming natural foods cannot be overstated.
As a nutritional biochemist, I am acutely aware of the remarkable benefits that natural foods offer to our health and well-being.

Let’s delve into the reasons why incorporating natural foods into your diet is not only a wise choice but also a step towards optimal nutrition.

  1. Nutrient Density: Natural foods, such as fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and nuts, are rich in essential nutrients like vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants. These nutrients play a pivotal role in supporting various bodily functions, from maintaining strong bones to bolstering the immune system.
  2. Minimal Processing: Natural foods are minimally processed, ensuring that their nutritional integrity remains intact. Processing can strip foods of their natural nutrients and introduce additives that might not be beneficial for health. By consuming foods in their natural state, we harness their inherent nutritional value.
  1. Digestive Health: Natural foods are often easier for the body to digest due to their simplicity and lack of added chemicals. The fiber content in natural foods supports healthy digestion, helps maintain a stable blood sugar level, and promotes a feeling of fullness, aiding in weight management.
  2. Heart Health: Many natural foods are heart-healthy. Fruits and vegetables are low in saturated fats and rich in heart-friendly antioxidants that help reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Whole grains contribute to healthy cholesterol levels, while lean proteins provide essential amino acids without the added unhealthy fats found in processed meats.

As a nutritional biochemist, I emphasize the importance of incorporating natural foods into your daily diet. The nutritional superiority, minimal processing, and array of health benefits offered by natural foods make them an essential component of a balanced and wholesome eating plan. By choosing natural foods, you are making a conscious decision to prioritize your health and well-being, ultimately reaping the rewards of a nourished and vibrant life.
